Anneliese Kellogg
Anneliese (on-uh-lee-szuh) Kellogg is the President of Franklin Pierce Education Association. Anneliese's term started in 2025 and ends at the conclusion of the 26/27 school year.
Anneliese taught high school percussion ensemble classes and was a high school marching band percussion instructor throughout their time at Pacific Lutheran University. Also, while at PLU, they were a Percussion Section Leader in the Wind Ensemble and Orchestra, and performed with the Wind Ensemble and Orchestra in China, Germany, and France. They also studied Education in India.
Anneliese currently teaches elementary general music, but has also taught middle school and high school, including general music, world drumming, guitar, band, choir, orchestra, and IB music theory. They have subbed and taught in Franklin Pierce, Indianapolis, upstate New York, and Connecticut.
Before their presidency, Anneliese served in several roles within FPEA, including Building Rep, Bargaining Team, WEA RA Delegate, and NEA RA Delegate.
As President, Anneliese is focused on increasing membership, increasing member engagement, and increasing solidarity both within FPEA and with the other labor unions in FPS. They envision a union where members support each other, work together to solve problems, know their CBA and enforce it, build friendships, start caucuses, serve on committees, step up into leadership roles, and advocate for students and public education at the district, state, and national levels. Basically, a thriving FPEA!
While passionate about labor unions, Anneliese also has other passions and hobbies that fill up their time. Anneliese is a drummer for the Emerald City Supporters at every Sounders FC home game, is a Trekkie, plays Magic The Gathering, plays an Aarakocra Monk in their party's 5-years-and-running Dungeons and Dragons campaign, and loves to cuddle with their two adorable, wonderful, absolutely perfect cats 🙂.
