FPEA Standing Committees
Who: FPEA President and any member that signs up. If it is a presidential election year, another Executive Board member not up for election will replace the president.
What: oversee candidate filing and election procedures, ensure WEA election guidelines and FPEA bylaws in Article VIII are followed.
Nominations and Elections Committee
Budget and Finance Committee
Who: FPEA Treasurer, appointed members from the Representative Assembly.
What: Meeting at least twice annually to prepare and balance the preliminary and final annual budgets. The proposed budgets are presented to the Executive Board and Representative Assembly for approval.
Member Engagement Committee
Who: FPEA Vice President and any member that signs up.
What: organizing and promoting regular social events, building solidarity and community within the membership, recruiting and supporting new members, and training Representative Assembly members to have effective one-on-one conversations with union members they represent..
Data & Communications Committee
Who: Recording Secretary and any members that sign up.
What: managing the leadership and Representative Assembly membership lists, organizational files and records; as well as calendar events for FPEA Business.
Staff of Color Committee
Who: Chaired by the Educator of Color UniServ Representative and any member that signs up.
Purpose: supports retention and engagement of educators of color and encourages active participation in FPEA activities by educators of color.
